Begin your day at 8 am with a briefing on chimpanzee tracking protocols. The trek through Kibale Forest, which lasts about three hours, offers the chance to see other wildlife such as red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and the rare L’Hoest’s monkeys. Your knowledgeable rangers will guide you to a chimpanzee group, where you will spend an hour observing and photographing these fascinating primates. In the evening, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can spot birds like the Great Blue Turaco and a variety of butterflies.

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a two-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a game drive through the park’s diverse ecosystems, which include savannah, wetlands, and forests. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffalo, Ugandan kob, and the elusive leopard. Later, check in at your lodge, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the park and relax.

Your day begins at 6 am with an exciting lion tracking game drive. Accompanied by researchers, you’ll use radio telemetry to locate lion prides, offering a unique opportunity to see these magnificent predators up close. Along the way, you might also spot other wildlife such as hyenas, warthogs, and hippos. In the afternoon, take a two-hour boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, which boasts one of the world’s highest concentrations of hippos and numerous Nile crocodiles. The channel is also a haven for birdlife, with species such as African skimmers, pelicans, and kingfishers.

Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to your lodge on the edge of Bwindi, where you can settle in and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Set off early for a gorilla trekking expedition in Bwindi’s dense jungle, led by experienced ranger guides. In the evening, participate in a community tour to engage with local villagers, visit a traditional healer, or watch a cultural dance performance.

After breakfast, check out from Bwindi and drive to Kihihi airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, our assistant will be on hand to help you with the check-in process for your departure flight.
